what we do

Pilgrim Hearts is there to assist those on the edge and those who for whatever reason are not able to benefit from all of life's opportunities.

We are a Christian organisation devoted to helping marginalised people, and those with disabilities, from all walks of life and from all backgrounds, races, and religions to reach their full potential and to explore their gifting and worth through the use of the creative arts.

So what is Pilgrim Hearts?

Pilgrim Hearts is an interdenominational Christian charity which utilises creative arts to open up the hearts of all. Our work has reached many who previously had not been awakened to the fact that Christianity relates to each of us, how we face the challenges of our every day living, and how we associate with each other. Pilgrim Hearts Trust was started in 2000 as a registered charity.

So -We provide assistance to other organisations and community groups both in the voluntary and public sector. We are based in Berkshire and provide creative arts workshops, and training for volunteers and training for groups working with vulnerable adults, skills and workshops using the creative arts. We operate in a wide area including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and all areas around London, including Ascot, Windsor, Bracknell, Warfield, Reading, Woking, Wokingham, Slough, Staines, Maidenhead, Cobham, Abingdon, Knightsbridge, London, Streatham.

We specialise in working with vulnerable adults. the homeless and unemployed, people with addictions, mental

health issues and special needs, as we unlock their creative ability through the process. Our creative arts workshops help people develop their gifts, and regain their self-esteem through sharing experiences and self-expression.

How does Pilgrim Hearts achieve this?

With access to a wide range of creative artists, Pilgrim Hearts is able to take their work into schools, exhibition centres, churches, women's refuges, drop-in centres for the homeless, prisons and many other venues. Our work has enlightened the lives of those with little self-worth, people who have experienced physical and mental damage, feel abandoned or simply those who have never had the opportunity to gain an insight.

Currently we run the Drop in at St Andrew’s , Priestwoo every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year.
