Pilgrim Hearts is there to assist those on the edge and those who for whatever reason are not able to benefit from all of life's opportunities.
We are a Christian organisation devoted to helping marginalised people, and those with disabilities, from all walks of life and from all backgrounds, races, and religions to reach their full potential and to explore their gifting and worth through the use of the creative arts.
We provide assistance to other organisations and community groups both in the voluntary and public sector.
Pilgrim Hearts is an interdenominational Christian charity which utilises creative arts to open up the hearts of all. Our work has reached many who previously had not been awakened to the fact that Christianity relates to each of us, how we face the challenges of our every day living, and how we associate with each other. Pilgrim Hearts Trust was started in 2000 as a registered charity.
With access to a vast range of creative artists, Pilgrim Hearts is able to take their work into schools, exhibition centres, churches, women's refuges, prisons and many other venues. Our work has enlightened the lives of those with little self-worth, experience physical and mental damage, feel abandoned, or simply those who have never had the opportunity to gain an insight.

One mum said that she went home happy, and was happy all evening and through the night. She explained that she doesn't normally feel like that; the reason for it was that she had let herself go and had felt she had been herself for the very first time.
Another mum said "she had never laughed so much."

"Many thanks for a wonderful day. You and your guys really contributed a lot, and not just in terms of the day itself."

Pilgrim Hearts, based in Berkshire provides creative arts workshops, and training for volunteers and training for groups working with vulnerable adults, skills and workshops using the creative arts. We operate in a wide area including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and all areas around London, including Ascot, Windsor, Bracknell, Warfield, Reading, Woking, Wokingham, Slough, Staines, Maidenhead, Cobham, Abingdon, Knightsbridge, London, Streatham.
Our creative arts workshops help people develop their gifts, and regain their self-esteem through sharing experiences and self-expression. We work with many Christian Charities and community groups in Berkshire and with the local Schools.
We specialise in working with vulnerable adults with addictions, mental health issues and special needs, as we unlock their creative ability through the process.
Pilgrim Hearts will join forces with Trinity Housing in Uxbridge and Slough Homeless Our Concern (“SHOC”) in Slough. We plan to offer arts workshops to clients of Trinity and SHOC working closely with these two charities. Pilgrim Hearts Director, Elaine Chalmers-Brown says “Our workshops will offer the homeless in Slough and Uxbridge the chance to discover their creative talents and so increase their self esteem. We will also train them in the social and communication skills they need to give them a better chance to find work and turn their lives around.” It’s hoped that, if the workshops go well Pilgrim Hearts could work in closer partnership with SHOC and TRINITY.
